राजनीतिक विचारधारा क्विज़ से जुड़े अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले सवाल और उनके जवाब।

1. What is a political ideology?

A political ideology is a coherent set of ideas and principles explaining how a society should function, who should hold decision-making power, how economic resources should be allocated, and what rights citizens have. It shapes how people interpret laws, taxation, welfare, social customs, and foreign policy.

2. How does the ideoMap Political Ideology Quiz work?

The quiz evaluates your opinions on core governance and societal issues across two formats:

At the end, you receive an overall Left ↔ Right placement, individual scores from −100 to +100 across 4 axes, your closest matching ideology out of 16, and real historical examples of that ideology in practice.

3. What are the 4 dimensions measured?

4. How is the overall Left vs Right score calculated?

In accordance with empirical political science research (notably the GAL-TAN framework), economic issues represent 50% of the overall score, while the remaining 50% is the average of social, civil, and global perspectives. This prevents economic leftists with conservative social views from being mislabeled.

5. What are the 16 political ideologies in ideoMap?

Rather than putting people in broad, simplistic boxes, ideoMap matches your coordinates to the closest of 16 distinct philosophies:

You can read in-depth guides for every philosophy in our All 16 Ideologies Guide.

6. How is ideoMap different from the 2-axis Political Compass?

Standard 2D political compass tests created in the 2000s flatten society, civil liberties, and foreign affairs into a single "Authoritarian vs Libertarian" axis. ideoMap decouples these: you can support strict border control while defending free speech, or favor strong social welfare while respecting traditional family values.

7. Is the quiz neutral and unbiased?

Yes. ideoMap is an independent educational tool. We are not backed by, affiliated with, or funded by any political party, candidate, think tank, or government agency. Every question is crafted with neutral, non-judgmental language representing arguments from all sides.

8. Is my privacy protected?

Absolutely. You do not need to create an account, log in, or give an email address. Your quiz responses and any nickname you type stay inside your browser's local memory. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Can I take the quiz in Hindi?

Yes! ideoMap is fully bilingual. All 24 questions, answer choices, historical examples, and ideology guides are natively available in Hindi (हिन्दी). You can switch between languages at any time.
